Sweet Southern Darlin

Sedona, Arizona

I've never quite seen a town like Sedona, Arizona. This place is gorgeous and what a better place to shoot a blog post? Growing up in Texas, all I've ever really seen is small towns, farms, and bunches and bunches of land (and Dallas of course.) I never traveled much when I was younger, all my big travels happened in 2017. Ever since my first big trip I've been bitten by the travel bug... TAKE ME EVERYWHERE. Exploring different places that you've never seen before is so good for the soul. The mountains, the quaint shops, the people its all a different experience. Also, meet Waylon guys! This fluffy pooch (who desperately needs to be groomed) is my sidekick. Womans best friend is the saying, right? I put this outfit together in hopes of shooting a blog post about it, but honestly I'm so happy to have even taken pictures so I will always remember my first time in Sedona with my four legged best bud. Moral of the story is, if you get the chance to go somewhere new.. TAKE IT. There is so much to gain when traveling, you experience a whole new you. Every time I go somewhere new and get to exploring, I feel like a little kid again and sometimes thats all you need in a small moment in time. Traveling is one of my new years resolutions, I want to be able to say yes to traveling more often than I have to say no. Traveling brings out a part of me I never even knew that I had!

Okay, I could talk about traveling until the cows come home but onto the outfit!

I have LOVED the cabby hat trend ever since I saw people wearing them at the end of summer/beginning of fall! I looked for so long to find one, but never could find the right one. I happened to find this one in the january sales. I found this one at zara and it fits so much better than one I have from Target and is so cute. The hat is somewhat of a staple item of the outfit, but since the color is neutral I wanted to add something to make the outfit more fun, so I added these leopard booties. These are the most comfortable pair of shoes with a heel I have ever worn in my life! My feet never hurt when wearing them. They're so funky and cute, they add so much to an outfit and go with all sorts of things! I wanted to stay neutral with everything else so I went for my boyfriend jeans from Old Navy and a simple cream sweater from Zara, added a necklace and the outfit came together! I love outfits that are comfortable to wear but are still stylish and cute and this one was that for me! It was perfect for a day of exploring.

I also wanted to mention the ADORABLE Patricia Nash clutch I'm wearing with the outfit. It was a Christmas gift and I can't get over how cute it is. I love its western style but its something that can be worn with so much. I don't always like carrying a big purse so cloth bags are perfect for me. They carry all the necessities (money, cards, ID, etc.) and I can usually fit a lipgloss in it. I love the brassy gold detailing and the tassel! Can't wait to style more outfits around this beauty!
